thinking to myself (aloud)

Is the key to blogging imagining that you're a celebrity and everyone wants to know everything you do? Or is it more pretending it's a letter: A cleaned up one to your parents, a raunchy one to your friends, a rant to your co-workers, or a complaint to the editor? Because I can't really accept that it's a journal to yourself. And I think most people would agree that bloggers are writing to somebody, some audience out there. Therefore blog is not equal to journal. Blog is more equal to news report. That's helpful to me, being all behind the curve in this area.
